Gypsy Princess

I've always had my heart set to indie, folk and boho chic and I've always loved the idea of a gypsy.
Also it doesn't help that Cher was a total boho babe, heart eyes for days, honey. I've been on Tumblr and Pinterest looking for Boho inspirations and found a few pictures that I absolutely adore. My obsession with folk boho has got me so excited for the spring that I picked up a few items to enhance the boho side of me. In the middle top picture, I purchased the aztec trim fedora from Forever 21, the double cross ring from the flea market at SFSU and the Steve Madden desert boots. I'm in love with all three items! I especially dig the fedora and I've always wanted desert boots. The double cross ring looks like it could be from Urban Outfitters or Nasty Gal, but I got it for $3 at the flea market, can I get a Bargain-lujah? Some other things that would complete this boho chic look would be turquoise accessories, cropped tops, aztec navajo prints, shorts, and fringe, fringe, fringe! This look would be super cute for Coachella too! Sad that I'm not attending but I'll still definitely be sporting this boho glam around the city this spring! xox Quinci

Hey there! I'm Quinci Woods and I am the creator of Leather in the City! I'm from San Francisco, California and go to San Francisco State University. I've changed my major about twenty times, it's currently International Relations to work with Human Rights and Foreign Policy but you never know what I'll change my mind to next ;) I do love fashion a whole bunch, so therefore my love for fashion will be dedicated to this blog. I enjoy fashion sketching, fashion styling, design and now fashion blogging. Doesn't it sound like I should be a fashion major? It's complicated like the hot weather in California in winter compared to the weather all over the rest of the United States. One day all of my dreams will come true and this blog is going to give my dream a push out the door. I like to think of my self as Barbie, because Barbie pretty much has every type of job. There's Nurse Barbie, Doctor Barbie, Ambassador For World Peace Barbie (my favorite), Firefighter Barbie, Astronaut Barbie, Fashion Model Barbie, and the list goes on.. I have so many passions in life that I can't (and won't) choose just one to pursue my whole life. But I do know fashion will always be something that will stick with me every year of my life. Who gets tired of fashion and dressing up? Obviously someone who has no taste in looking good and feeling fabulous! Fashion is an expression of how you feel and how you want the world to view you. Fashion is unique to everyone, though still bits and pieces are inspired by past icons, you can make fashion your own. I'm inspired by the late and great sixties style icons like Cher's middle part long black hair or blunt bangs and bold, vivid prints, Audrey Hepburn's classy lady attire in Breakfast At Tiffany's, Francoise Hardy's effortless boho, bold lashes like Twiggy, and fur hats inspired by Janis Joplin. I also love to look punk rock, I had a punk rocker phase in middle school that I still carry with me in my wardrobe. I'm starting to dig street style a lot more, with Timberlands, baggy clothes, oversized jackets and crop tops. I grew up in the 90s, so its lovely to see it come back into street style. My style, as you can tell is all over the place. It's how I feel at that moment. My goals for this year is to have fun and play with fashion more. I'm going to direct photo shoots all over the city of San Francisco and style models, and you guys will be the first to see my creations! I'm so excited because that's something I've always wanted to be, a Creative Director. I'm rambling now, I'm not use to writing about myself so much. I'll save my feelings for another day ;) Thank you again for viewing my blog and showing me love. This blog will fulfill your dreams and everything you've always wished for to see what's life is like in San Francisco. xoxo, Quinci
